Sam Cooper arrives at a seemingly perfect retirement facility only to find that paradise feels more like a prison. His life takes a dark turn after a monstrous nighttime encounter reveals that something predatory is stalking the manicured cul-de-sacs.

When the authorities dismiss his claims as the confusion of an elderly man, he must seek help elsewhere. Sam eventually joins forces with a band of unlikely neighborhood heroes to investigate the dark secret at the heart of the community.
