Philip Marlowe (Liam Neeson) is hired by glamorous heiress Clare Cavendish (Diane Kruger) to locate her missing lover, Nico Peterson—a prop master with ties to Pacific Film Studios. What seems like a simple disappearance turns darkly complex when Marlowe uncovers that Nico was apparently killed and that Clare might be hiding key details, including claims of seeing him alive after his supposed death.
